Thanksgiving Day...Day Off

I am taking the day off from my cookie recipe cookbook. I have four or five more cookies  to make to complete it. It has been much more work than I ever would have thought but it was not entering the recipes but testing the recipes and tasting them.I am sure that is why people make such noise about it when I tell people in classes they must make all the recipes in their cookbook.

Tomorrow I will be delivering some cookie tins to my neighbors to get rid of a lot of the cookies that I have made. I am sure they will be happy with the gift and I will be happy to have some more counter space again.

But by going through this exercise I learned a few of the recipes needed to be amended. One needed some eggs, I would never have known this if I had not taken the time to create them all. I hate when I use a cookbook and the recipe does not turn out since there was an error in the recipe.

So are you go through the trouble to make your thanksgiving recipes today and cook up of fest remember that some one bothered to test and taste the recipes so they would turn out right for your family. Some small things we should be thank full for-
