It's Holiday Gift Time!
When I wrote last weeks blog I mentioned that Martha Stewart said it was time to start working your holiday crafts. But while reading the paper today I saw that there are only 61 days left until the holidays. Having that number looming over my head it makes me move faster to work on my cookie cookbook. If you are working on a cookbook for this years holidays you have better collected your stories, photographs and recipes by now and be in the process of testing and tasting your recipes so you get all together in time.
If you are making other kinds of crafts you better is if it is reasonable to get it all done in time. Make list of all the elements or steps you have to make to complete the project on a separate line of paper. Then put down how much time it will take to compete each step. Be honest with your self on the time. Then take out the calendar and back time each step by noting the last step closest to the holiday date you need to be done and move through your list this way. Can you really complete your project? Or do you need to buy a gift? May I suggest you give a Plate Full of Memories? Also you may want to ship your gifts, start you back timing from the proper shipping date. So again I suggest giving a Plate Full of Memories as a gift for all of you that will not have time to finish your craft projects. For those of you that can get the project done, stop reading this blog and start working. If you realize you can not complete it I want to let you know that next week I will making a list of links as I have always done in my newsletters. I think this will help you understand what is happening in the world of cookbooks and cookbook creation.
I have to go a work on my own projects....
