Gardens Planted Now Serve Healthy Foods Later

I saw an article about a new gardening book that offers tips and recipes.  Good idea but I thought why not have a cookbook that offers gardening tips. It makes so much sense. I do own a cookbook just on herbs but never a mention on planting them or when they are ripe for harvest.

But there are other edible things that grow in your garden and wouldn’t be  great to have lots of recipes to choose from as the summer comes to full bloom. I missed my opportunity to try fiddlehead ferns since the grow over night. I have rhubarb that is starting to be harvested. I have made strawberry-rhubarb crisp my traditional early spring dish but now what? Just saw an article in the New York Times on sautéing radishes. I am sure there are new uses for very old foods grown in the garden.

So if a garden book offers tips and recipes or cookbook offers gardening tips I think
