Excited to Try Truvia
I often rant about eating and buying natural foods. I also rant about buying locally grown foods that should end up on your dinner table. I am now excited about trying the latest food additive,Truvia. I know it seems a bit strange. I have easily recommended natural foods since I could not eat foods that had been altered. I could not eat low fat since they used sugar substitute to make up for the fat left out. And I could never eat anything that had less sugar or was made diet since I would have an after taste that would last for hours. It is not so strange since my thin sister and I often talk about the foods that we discover by accident that have substitute added that really was not apparent. It must be genetic trait. So I now am going to try this new additive which supposedly has no taste but sweet and it has no calories. I will report back after I use it and try it in baking and cooking. I clipped a coupon this past week end so when I go to the grocery store this week I am going to try it. It may be the secrete to all my weight problems but maybe not. I still will be buying local but adding this sweetener instead of sugar. I think my first test will be in a hot cup of tea. I always drink ice tea with out sugar and but I love a teaspoon of sugar in my hot tea so I rarely drink it. This could revolutionize my eating and your cookbook writing.
I tried it for the first time this week end and was pleasently surprised that it had no after taste. I am going to try in with other food before I give it a big thumbs up. But I am close.
